A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME....
Nice to meet you! I was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba and still reside in the city with my son.
I graduated with a 4 Yr. Bachelor of Science Environmental Science degree from Brandon University.
My background in university includes math and sciences, with the central focus on Environmental sustainability, wildlife and resource management. I immersed myself in learning about environmental issues and chose actions that contribute to a sustainable future, and encourage my students to do the same!
After university I attained a UAV pilot license and worked 2 years for Manitoba Crop Diversity operating as a drone pilot for agricultural research. I continue to be a part of a Canadian Registered Pilot's Network.
When I'm not teaching in the classroom, my interests include all things outdoors, and you will catch me frequently in nature. I am a proud mom that is excited to be involved with extra curricular activities, from rugby to piano, Jiu Jitsu, and Hockey, I volunteer wherever they need me. Outside of parenting and school, I am a competitive powerlifter and aspiring strongwomen, and just recently certified as a Manitoba Powerlifting Association Referee. When I'm not competing, I am helping at local events and cheering on my fellow competitors.
